The S Series employs an intelligent boost system to ensure you always have the power you need when you need it. For combined work with intensive use of PTO and/or hydraulics, the boost function is activated when 30 kW of power is requested via PTO or hydraulics. When you need the highest performance on the road, the boost is always there when ground speed exceeds 18 km/h. For the highest horsepower S416, full power is available for field speeds as well as for PTO use when the tractor is at a standstill.

Power and efficiency combined in the S Series’ superior hydraulics. The S Series offers versatility with two high-output hydraulic pump capacities to select from, the 200 l/min ECO option and the 200 l/min + 200 l/min option. Both options employ two pumps for working with high oil volume at low engine speeds, ensuring you have the power you need while maintaining fuel efficiency. With the ECO option, the 200 l/min output is achieved at engine revs of 1650 r/min, instead of the full 1950 r/min. The second pump unit is a gear pump which can be switched ON or OFF according to the work. The 200 + 200 option has two autonomous axial piston pumps, both supplying its own circuit with more than 200 l/min. Pump one takes care of service valves 1 to 3. Valve 3 is a high flow valve with a flow rate of 170 l/min. Pump two feeds the valves 4 to 6 and power beyond. This guarantees high operational reliability when working with implements that have extremely large oil requirements.

The S Series protects your soil from compaction for better yields. When soil gets compacted, it becomes less porous, negatively impacting drainage and the soil’s microbiome. The S Series, with its 28 kg / hp (S416) is light compared to other high horsepower tractors.
The S Series’ unballasted weight is balanced to a 45% front axle / 55% rear axle division. This provides a good base for heavy pulling, minimizing compaction, and improving traction. Take full advantage of the S Series’ heavy pulling capabilities with a wide range of ballast options for both front and rear.
Cost-efficient farming requires minimising unnecessary driving. The S Series comes with Valtra’s easy-to-use smart farming technologies including Valtra Guide, Auto U-pilot, and SmartTurn.
